Montehano Mount
Situation: On the Cicero to Santoña road (CA-241), by the turning to Escalante. the access is through the quarry. Although not very high, 186 m., this mount dominates the mouth of the Asón river. The quarry threatened its integrity and now it is closed. Up on the summit thera are ruins of a Castle and many relevant archaelogical testimonies have been found: the site of the La Mosolla and la Doncella caves. Both are almost gone due to the activity of the quarry. .
